Or to put it another way – some quick thoughts on games I’ve played since being in Hull, however briefly.

Guitar Hero World Tour – Surprisingly dissapointing in some respects – the interface isn’t as clear as the Rock Band series and the songs aren’t as good, although the instruments and customisation options are indeed awesome.

Rock Band 2 – Seriously awesomeness, can’t wait to get back to Lincoln with this and cause more racket with the rest of the house.

Mirror’s Edge – pretty cool, very short though and at times infuriating whether it decides to let you grab certain things or not. May get on PC, but given I completed it in one sitting on 360, might wait for it to be a lot cheaper first. Still not quite as good as I’d hoped a year ago though.

Smackdown Vs Raw 2009 – I’m still not interested enough in wrestling to see me getting this for myself, but the individual story modes are a nice touch to break up the fighting. A lot easier than previous instalments it seems as well, although my experience is still limited to playing each for about a day at Christmas time. Haven’t owned a wrestling game myself since Smackdown 2 on the PlayStation.

Saints Row 2 – even though I only got through the charatcer creation and just about the end of the tutorial, I am quite looking forward to this coming on the PC now. Hopefully the same technical issues dogging GTA 4 won’t blight this one, and if so it could actually overtake Niko’s adventure’s as my free world anarchy game of choice. (I mean, I like GTA4 on PC, but I’m sure I’d like it more if I could play a multiplayer game on anything other than one map without being kicked out and be able to run the game as I know I should be able to.

Battlefield: Bad Company – Before you play this, you have to ask yourself two questions: One – do you like to blow shit up? Two – do you like to blow shit up? If the answer to both of these questions is yes, then you’ll probably enjoy it. Brainless shooty fun, basically.

Normal computer still broken at the moment. On a currently temporary machine to do some Uni assesments, but once they’re out of the way hopefully I can crack on with fixing it and normal service may resume.
